Postgraduate Program In Exact Sciences Teaching
UNIVATES seriously believes scientific research and education projects are the best way to acquire and extend knowledge. Our institutional activities aim to qualify our teachers and students and therefore apply knowledge for the benefit of the society.
Research is directly related to social and intellectual development and it has been developed and stimulated since the very beginning at Univates in many branches of scientific knowledge, such as Life Sciences, Earth Sciences and Human Sciences.
Research is stimulated in the Undergraduate and Graduate Courses, in final term papers, dissertations, theses and in Undergraduate Research Programmes. 75 professors and 145 students awarded scholarships from Univates, CNPq, FAPERGS and CAPES participate in the Undergraduate Research Programme.
In addition to the 10 research projects currently carried out in the Master’s Courses in Environment and Development, 8 in Biotechnology, 3 in Mathematics Education and 2 in Education, 5 more research projects are carried out at Univates, all officially recognized by the University Council.
